Overview

The Bronto Slack integration lets you route alert notifications to specific Slack channels. Once connected, you can configure multiple integrations — each pointing to a different channel — so the right team gets notified in the right place.

Setup

1. Install the Bronto Slack App

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and select Slack.
  2. Click Install Slack Application in the top-right corner.
  3. You’ll be redirected to Slack to review permissions — Bronto requires access to view channel info and post messages.
  4. Select your workspace and click Allow.
Your workspace will now appear under Slack Workspaces on the integration page.

2. Invite @bronto.io to Your Channels

You must invite @bronto.io to each Slack channel where you want alerts to be sent. Bronto cannot post to channels it hasn’t been invited to.
In Slack, open the target channel and run:
/invite @bronto.io
Repeat this for every channel you want to receive alerts.

3. Create a Slack Integration

  1. In Bronto navigate to Settings, Integrations, Slack Integrations, click + New.
  2. Fill in the details on the right panel:
    • Name — a label for this integration (e.g. on-call-alerts)
    • Workspace — select the connected workspace
    • Channels — enter the target channel (e.g. #on-call-alerts)
  3. Click Save.
The integration will now appear in the Slack Integrations table.

Connecting Integrations to Monitors

Once a Slack integration is saved, you can select it as a notification destination when creating or editing a Monitor.

Managing Integrations

You can create multiple Slack integrations to route different alerts to different channels. Each integration is listed in the Slack Integrations table with its name and associated channel(s). To edit or delete an integration, click on its row in the table.
