# bronto repl

> Start an interactive query prompt

Opens a psql-style prompt for exploring logs. Type a WHERE expression to run it,
then edit and run it again. Meta-commands (\help lists them) switch the dataset or
time window, page through results, or start a live tail. History is kept between
sessions.

bronto repl [flags]
```

#### Flags

| Flag | Short | Type | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `--dataset` | `-d` | stringArray | | dataset name or UUID to query (repeatable) |
| `--from-expr` | | string | | dataset selector expression |
| `--since` | | string | | starting lookback window (default 15m) |

Also accepts the [global flags](/cli/reference/commands/global-flags).

#### Examples

```sh theme={"dark"}
bronto repl -d prod/payments-api
bronto repl -d prod/payments-api --since 1h
```
